COMMUNITY REHABILITATION PEER PRACTITIONER

Hours: 22.5 Hours Per Week (to include occasional evenings and weekends)

Salary: £19,880 to £21,409 Pro Rata Per Annum

Location: Portsmouth

Are you interested in becoming a Community Rehabilitation Peer Practitioner so you can use your lived experience to help others in their recovery? Would you like the opportunity to deliver peer support to our service users in partnership with Solent NHS Trust Practitioners?

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the form of a Community Rehabilitation Peer Practitioner post.

The post-holder will play an integral role in the recovery pathways of their service users, working with NHS staff to support those who are accessing the Community Intensive Rehabilitation Team (CIRT) to take control of their own recovery. The CIRT is embedded within the Solent NHS mental healthcare system. It sits alongside the Community Mental Health Recovery Teams.

The team work with Portsmouth residents aged over 18, that have complex psychosis and related severe mental health conditions. You will support service users to achieve their goals on their road to recovery, providing practical and emotional support and, crucially, you will have your own lived experience of mental health issues and a recovery journey of your own to share.

It would be advantageous for applicants to have their own lived experience of psychosis and use of mental health services related to the same.
