We are offering an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver this ambition through this new role of a Green Space Development Worker to work alongside our existing Volunteer Development Workers within the Wellbeing Matters team.

Through the development of the Green Care Programme we will work alongside our existing partners in Wellbeing Matters and will also widely engage with other organisations as part of the project delivery, we will widen this to include Grass Roots and smaller organisations.  Engagement through this initial process and then to involve wider ‘Green’ partners in the delivery element.

The post holder will be responsible for the development of Green & Blue Projects across the 5 Health and Social Care Neighbourhoods in Salford, supporting existing and emerging schemes to enable more people to access green & blue activities and services in their local communities that support their wellbeing and increase opportunities for local people to volunteer. A key element of the role will be supporting the development of welcoming, supportive and meaningful opportunities for social prescribing referrals.

A complementary grants and investment programme of £125k will be available to support local VCSE organisation develop their green and blue offer for social prescribing and wider volunteering.
