Job Description

Butterfly Conservation is a leading wildlife charity working across the UK to conserve butterflies, moths and our environment.

Human activities are destroying the natural world, leading to the extinction of animal and plant species at an alarming rate.  Butterflies and moths are a vital part of our wildlife heritage and are sensitive indicators of the health of our environment.

Butterfly Conservation is about to enter an exciting new phase of its evolution with a bold and extremely ambitious plan to transform our conservation work and we would love you to join us as we begin this journey.  We have two crucial, key roles available which are instrumental in helping to drive forward our ground-breaking vision, enabling us to deliver our fresh and dynamic strategies.

Director of Finance & Operations

Full time (37 hours per week)

£45k - £55k per annum, plus 8% pension contribution

As a member of our Senior Leadership Team you will be responsible for leading our finance, administration, governance and IT teams. You will contribute towards the overall organisational strategy and make a significant contribution to the sustainable future of Butterfly Conservation.

You will need to have strong leadership skills with experience of motivating teams, experience of implementing organisational strategies, and proven financial acumen. A critical thinker with strong analytical skills, and the ability to be creative and innovative when solving solutions are essential.
