Job Description

Butterfly Conservation is a leading wildlife charity working across the UK to conserve butterflies, moths and our environment.

Human activities are destroying the natural world, leading to the extinction of animal and plant species at an alarming rate.  Butterflies and moths are a vital part of our wildlife heritage and are sensitive indicators of the health of our environment.

Butterfly Conservation is about to enter an exciting new phase of its evolution with a bold and extremely ambitious plan to transform our conservation work and we would love you to join us as we begin this journey.  We have two crucial, key roles available which are instrumental in helping to drive forward our ground-breaking vision, enabling us to deliver our fresh and dynamic strategies.

Head of People & Culture (part-time)

Part-time (flexible), 3-year fixed term contract

£40k - £50k per annum, pro rata, plus 8% pension contribution

You will be responsible for the development and effectiveness of all staff, enabling an open, empowered, inclusive and agile culture.  You will facilitate lean processes, continuous improvement and innovation and embed a programme management approach to increase the organisations impact.

You will need to be CIPD qualified, or have previous experience in a senior HR role, knowledge of delivering transformational change and learning and development strategies, and expertise in succession planning, talent management and career development.  A self-directed learner who respects diversity and the ability to build trust and confidence is essential.
