Join the fight against hunger and food waste! FareShare South West is the region's largest food charity, as part of the FareShare network. We're looking for a brilliant Individual Giving Officer to join our fast-growing charity and give our supporters the best possible giving experience.
FareShare South West’s (FSSW) fundraising need and strategy has developed and diversified rapidly in line with major growth since 2017. Individual Giving is a relatively new fundraising stream for our charity and is essential for ongoing sustainability as we expand and launch new programmes and operations to fight hunger and food waste. The Individual Giving Officer will have the exciting opportunity to launch new donor support processes, systems and strategies that ensure we have excellent relationships with our new donors and retain and grow our Individual Giving income. Our chosen candidate will join our wider fundraising and comms team and close-knit, passionate and motivated staff team.
Powerful narratives, storytelling and engagement with donors is crucial to ensure FSSW’s messages around funding need and impact cut through to donors. In addition to launching an IG function, this role will work closely as part of our small fundraising and comms team to develop new fundraising streams, deliver campaigns and support on events.

FareShare South West (FSSW) fights food poverty by tackling food waste. We are the largest food redistribution charity in the region, and as an independent part of the FareShare UK network, we redistribute quality surplus food from over 600 food suppliers. In 2020, we quadrupled our food output, delivering food for 4.1 million meals to frontline charities across the region.
After over 12 months of emergency operations, we are transitioning out of Covid into a much larger operation, spanning Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bristol, Bath & N.E Somerset, Somerset, and most recently, a major expansion into Devon and Cornwall. Our fundraising function is a vital part of our growth.
