Job title:               Corporate Fundraising Manager 

Location:              50% London Office Based 

Responsible to:   CEO

Salary:                  £37,500 - £47,500 FTE - depending on experience

Role Summary:

To support and deliver on our fundraising ambitions, Speakers for Schools are looking for an experienced Corporate Fundraising Manager who has a proven track record in securing multi-year, mutually beneficial corporate partnerships and delivering against challenging income targets. Working with internal and external stakeholders, this role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust pipeline of new corporate fundraising opportunities and managing a portfolio of existing accounts. Initially, this role will have a key focus on exploring the opportunities from our corporate stakeholders to secure new corporate funding for the charity.  This will be followed by building new corporate supporters for the charity.  You will be collaborating with the regional fundraising team to maximise funding opportunities for the charity.

We are therefore looking for someone with a proven track record in securing new business partnerships. You will have experience in generating income through corporate partnerships and delivering on fundraising targets. You will be able to identify, create and win bespoke corporate partnerships. This role is essential to the organisation’s service ambition. You will be joining a passionate and ambitious organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for corporate fundraising to support growth in this area.
  • Generate income from corporate partnerships and meet agreed annual fundraising targets. This includes both new partnership initiatives and account management.
  • Use appropriate research tools and networks to develop a robust pipeline of corporate partnerships opportunities.
  • Create and deliver high quality, bespoke presentations/proposals to potential corporate supporters.
  • Ensure focus is kept on opportunities which deliver the best ROI (return on investment) for the Charity and that deliver on the income expectations for the role.
  • Provide excellent stewardship to a small portfolio of corporate partners.
  • To provide regular financial and operational reports and evaluation of corporate fundraising to the CFO and the Board of Trustees.
  • To keep up to date fundraising legislation and regulation and to work within the organisation’s policies and procedures.
  • To act as a central point of contact for all Corporate enquiries.
  • To manage the Senior Fundraising Executive
  • Any other duties that may be required.

Key Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

  • A proven successful track record as a corporate fundraiser who is able to generate significant income from corporate partnerships.
  • Experience of maximising opportunities from researching prospects to generating meetings and securing income to achieve income targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to engage with company representations at all levels.
  • Strong, persuasive negotiating skills which result in positive outcomes and resilience to work through barriers.
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude that will enthuse prospective and current supporters.
