Job Description

Hammersmith United Charities was founded in 1618 and makes grants to community organisations helping local people address complex social issues such as poverty, inequality or mental ill health. We are looking for an experienced grantmaker to lead on our grantmaking, communications and community action work and help a 400 year old charity become a 21st century community leader. 

About the role

Your remit will span every aspect of the grant lifecycle – from marketing through assessment, to award, ongoing relationship management and reporting on outcomes. You will also lead the Charity’s communication strategy promoting our services and developing the Charity’s profile as a bold and informed voice. You will help develop the Charity’s wider work in the community creating new ways of delivering ‘relief in need’ and establishing HUC as a core strategic partner and leader in our community. 

About you 

HUC is a small team so you will be an effective team player who is also happy to work independently. You will be an experienced grantmaker who is comfortable leading operational and strategic partnerships, writing and delivering  communications strategies and developing impactful community projects. You believe in the value of community.
