Solent Mind is the leading ­mental health charity across Hampshire providing a range of high quality services to improve people’s mental wellbeing and to promote choice and rights to everyone who needs our support. Our services operate in various locations throughout the Hampshire area.

The Community Peer Recovery Team (CPRT), based at St Mary’s Health Campus in Portsmouth will deliver support work to our service users in partnership with their secondary care practitioners. The CPRT will work with service users, in the community and in their homes to deliver support for both mental wellbeing and social care needs.

COMMUNITY PEER RECOVERY PRACTITIONER

Contract: Fixed Term Until 13 Dec 2021

Hours: 14.5 Hours Per Week

Salary Range: £19,880 to £21,409 Pro Rata Per Annum

Location: Portsmouth

Closing Date: Mon 19 Apr 2021 (Before 9.00am)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the form of a Community Peer Recovery Practitioner post.  The post-holder will play an integral role in the recovery pathways of their service users, working with Solent NHS staff to support those who are accessing secondary care to take control of their own recovery. Working on Support Plans with service users, you will support them to achieve their targets and goals on their road to recovery, providing practical and emotional support and, crucially, you will have your own lived experience of mental health issues and a recovery journey of your own to share.
