Job Description

We are looking to recruit a talented Senior Employment Specialist to join our dynamic and high-performing team. Using Individual Placement and Support, throughout West and North London we support individuals with mental health problems find and sustain mainstream employment. 

Working in partnership with Ealing NHS IAPT as an integral team member, you will deliver an employment support service, following the IPS model, to a caseload of clients, working with each of them on a one to one basis, supporting them with their confidence, and giving them practical tools to secure and maintain work. As a Senior Employment Specialist, you will lead on referral triage and support the Service Manager with local stakeholder engagement including IAPTs and JCPs, and champion Employer Engagement activities. This is an exciting opportunity with scope for further professional development. 

About you: 

You'll be target-driven, results-orientated and passionate about mental health. You'll have experience of of working with individuals with mental health problems, supporting them in their quest to find work, further education or sector-based training. Ideally you'll have knowledge of NHS internal processes and procedures and have a background in delivering employment support, including career information, advice and guidance, job-coaching and CV-writing skills to diverse individuals. You'll be a confident communicator willing to engage proactively with a range of stakeholders including clients, clinical leads, and employers through a range of mediums including face-to-face, telephone and writing in order to promote the service. You'll have knowledge of needs-assessments and action planning. Finally, you'll be comfortable working toward targets, and working dynamically to ensure Twining Enterprise continues to deliver a top class service to our clients.

Hours: 36 hours per week

Salary: £27,000

Contract Type: Fixed term until March 2022 (with possibility of extension)
