Solent Mind is the leading ­mental health charity across Hampshire providing a range of high quality services to improve people’s mental wellbeing and to promote choice and rights to everyone who needs our support. Our services operate in various locations throughout the Hampshire area.

We are entering an exciting phase of growth, which will enable us to expand our services to meet growing mental health support needs in our local population, especially people whose mental health has been adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and families is a key organisational priority for Solent Mind. We are committed to building on the growth of our youth and family projects in recent years to expand and deliver effective services that will both support young people experiencing an issue, and offer vital prevention and early intervention opportunities. Solent Mind currently offers services that support young people of all ages, through strong partnerships with other voluntary, health and education sector organisations.

PROGRAMME LEAD (Children, Young People & Families)

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week

Salary Range: £34,226 to £35,092 Per Annum (wef 01 Apr 2021)

Location: Solent Mind-Wide Across The Organisation (Currently home working due to Covid-19)

Closing Date: Mon 12 Apr 2021 (Before 9.00am)

Interview Dates: TBC

Overall purpose: To lead and co-develop operational resources across the children, young people and families portfolio on behalf of Solent Mind, in order to achieve better long term mental health outcomes for people. As a member of the Leadership Team the post holder is expected to attend and contribute to meetings with senior managers, and to lead on specific areas of service delivery, strategy and development.

Applicants need to demonstrate experience of managing services, a clear understanding of excellence in mental health service delivery and a passion for partnership working.
