Job Description

World Horse Welfare is an international charity that improves the lives of horses in the UK and around the World through education, campaigning and care.  We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our International team which is responsible for implementing the charity’s strategy in developing countries and aims to improve the welfare of as many working equids as possible.

Although UK based the role does require overseas travel.  The Programme Officer responsible for education and capacity building will join a team that aims to bring about a change in the behaviour of anyone who is able to influence the lives of working equids.  Working closely with the Director of International you will support and develop the community-based projects that underpin the charity’s presence in developing countries.  This is primarily a project management role that facilitates the implementation of our International programme.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with people of different cultures and economic situations, who can take on management tasks and responsibilities.  You will have exceptional oral and written skills, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders and be a realistic problem solver.
