Hours:Full-time, 35 hours per week, usual hours are 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday. Occasionally weekend and evening work will be required, for which TOIL will be given.
The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues. In April 2019, the Centre opened its new Centre of Excellence located in King’s Cross.

Overview of the post
Excluding tendered contracts, the Centre maintains an annual revenue income of £2.5-£3 million per year, with a strategic emphasis on raising income from a variety of sources, including statutory funds, trusts and foundations, corporates, major donors and community fundraising. Including tendered contracts, last financial year the Centre secured over £7 million.
We are seeking an experienced fundraiser and bid writer to join our team of six to support our revenue funding. The focus of this post is funding from statutory bodies, tendering for contracts and applications to trusts and foundations. This role will suit a candidate with demonstrable experience of working in deadline-driven environments and with non-profit, statutory or academic grant writing. The post-holder will need outstanding writing and editing skills, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills and ability to translate complex written and financial information quickly and accurately.
The post-holder will directly line manage the Grants and Bids Officer and work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Senior Management Team to support meeting income targets and maintain funder relationships. Line management experience and knowledge of public sector procurement and bidding is desirable.
The post-holder will be home-based during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; thereafter based at the Anna Freud Centre, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.
