Thomas Pocklington Trust is a registered charity and our objective is to increase awareness and understanding of the needs and aspirations of blind and partially sighted people – we seek to do this by focusing on improving opportunities for engagement, education and employment for people with visual impairment.

We are looking to recruit two exceptional people to join our current trustee board of eight members in giving strategic direction to this important work.

Ideally we’re looking for people with some of the following skills:

  • Property and estate management

  • Technology (including assistive technology and social media)

An understanding of the not for profit sector, lived experience of sight loss and previous board/trustee experience is beneficial yet not essential and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.

Our trustee board meets four times each year, although there is additional trustee involvement between meetings.  The current term of office is three years.

We are accepting c.v.s and cover letters as applications.  Please click the apply button to register your interest.
