CONTEXT

The Skills & Training Team at MIF has been set up to develop a new programme (The Factory Academy) that trains and develops the workforce of the future in the creative industries, driven by The Factory as a catalyst. Several successful programmes have been piloted working with partner organisations in 2018/2019 and now MIF is looking to become a registered training provider of pre-employment programmes for young people aged 19-24.

JOB SUMMARY

The Factory Futures Manager will manage the new pre-employment programme, known as Factory Futures. The programme will engage people from underrepresented groups in Manchester and place them with employers across the sector in training placements, traineeships and paid internships. The Factory Futures Manager will work closely with the Director to ensure that we secure the relevant funding to deliver our programmes, leading our work to become a registered training provider, whilst managing delivery and ensuring robust process and procedures are in place.
