Home-Start Kernow is recruiting for the following roles: 

Scheme Manager, Part-time 30 hours pw.  

Salary: £30,507-£34,788 (pro rata) NJC Payscale 33-38 

Coordinator, Part-time 30 hours pw 

Salary: £23,836-£25,295 (pro rata) NJC Payscale 25-27 

Home-Start Kernow is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of 12. Our core service involves volunteers offering regular support, befriending and providing practical help, in group settings, virtually or in the homes of families who are experiencing difficulties in order to prevent family crisis and breakdown. We also offer targeted support in group settings and are currently expanding our virtual and online support. 

Home-Start Kernow currently consists of two coordinators, one group engagement worker, one administrator and we are also recruiting for an additional coordinator /administrator to complete the team. Home-Start Kernow is governed by a trustee management committee. At present over 70 families in Cornwall are being supported. We currently have over 60 volunteers supporting families in the county.

The role will involve managing the delivery of our current projects, ensuring funding and partnerships are achieved and the scheme continues to grow, and adhering to all policies, principles and guidance to ensure appropriate governance.

To ensure the effective day to day management of the scheme in accordance with the Home-Start Memorandum & Articles of Association, Home-Start Standards and Methods of Practice, the Home-Start Agreement and Quality Assurance Standards.
