Job Description

Age UK Sutton is an independent charity operating across the London Borough of Sutton.

We are seeking to appoint a Volunteering Manager to lead volunteering development across the charity and to manage the Age UK Sutton Befriending programme.

You will champion volunteering, and lead on developing and delivering a charity-wide volunteering plan ensuring quality and good practice are understood and followed whenever volunteers are involved.  You will play a critical role in enhancing Age UK Sutton’s work with volunteers, the impact we have, and the experience we offer.

In this role you will support relevant teams to recruit, train, and support their volunteers, overseeing quality of delivery and ensuring all Age UK Sutton volunteers have a positive experience of their role with us.

You will also manage our befriending service, supervising and supporting the volunteers, and evaluating and developing the service which provides enabling support to a wide range of clients, including beneficiaries of our commissioned Home From Hospital service and a grant funded project.
