Chief Executive Officer

Salary: £43,600 - £45,000 (plus 3% pension contribution when matched by employee)

One Walsall is the voice of the voluntary sector in Walsall. We support local not-for-profit organisations such as community groups, charities and social enterprise

We are looking to appoint a full time Chief Executive Officer to succeed our current successful CEO who is moving on to a new post after several years in post.  

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of both operational and strategic leadership within the charitable sector, relationship building as well as the capacity to motivate and inspire. Working with a committed group of Trustees you will be a capable, energetic, sensitive and creative leader who has recent experience of working at a senior level within the Voluntary sector.  Our new Chief Executive will resonate strongly with the ethos and mission of One Walsall and have an unrelenting focus on achieving a strong a vibrant voluntary sector in Walsall. They will have an up-to-date understanding and knowledge of current policy relating to models of care that the voluntary sector is part of and have so much to offer. They will also be familiar with the regulatory framework within which the Voluntary sector generally and One Walsall as a Charity itself needs to operate within.  There will also be a specific requirement to provide vision and direction for the organisation post the current COVID-19 response, building on the current momentum of volunteer and community responses.

One Walsall has a small management team, so you need to be equally happy working alone and as an effective team player providing strong line management and support.  You will provide support to the active Board of Trustees and Board sub Committees and will need to be comfortable leading and representing the organisation at key Borough wide engagement processes and committees.
