Job Description

Age UK London, an influential charity, needs another brilliant professional to join its team of paid and volunteer staff, based in Euston. Age UK London has a capital- wide brief and a fierce commitment to improving the lives of older Londoners.

We work with, and through, older peoples’ forums, local Age UKs, partner organisations and pan-London bodies to campaign for London to be a truly Age-friendly City. We aim to enhance the impact of the voices of older Londoners across the capital. This includes in the areas of housing, transport, health and wellbeing, employment, outdoor spaces and social inclusion and respect.

Reporting to the CEO, the Communications Officers has responsibility for Age UK London’s external communications and supporting our London-wide campaigns. The person appointed will ensure production and distribution of a wide range of communications materials, play a key role in media work and manage high profile events. The role includes working with campaigns team staff, volunteers, local groups and strategic London bodies.

Requirements include: experience in producing communications materials and website management; social media campaigning, excellent written and verbal communication skills; understanding of campaigning and influencing techniques. And of course - being a consummate team player!
