Assistant Director of Operations - Homelessness Community Based Services

Job Description

About Us:

SPEAR is dynamic and unique – much like our employees. Their expertise and commitment has enabled SPEAR to thrive, despite the challenge in the sector of the growing rough sleeping population. One of the ways we achieve this is through a constant focus on improvement - thinking creatively about ways to deliver great value for our commissioned services. We are a small charity with a big ambition, putting our customers at the heart of what we do.

The Role:

Joining us at an exciting time of change you’ll have plenty of opportunity to test and develop your leadership and management expertise. In this crucial role, your focus will be on service delivery and business performance across the following operational contracts – Outreach Rough Sleeper Services, Homeless Health Link Service, Peer Mentoring and Service User Involvement and Education, Training & Employment/Skills Development. You will support managers and the leadership team to drive forward a collective vision of inclusion and user participation across the organisation.

About You:

Most likely from a public sector background - you’ll have broad management experience, including developing and managing staff, processes and systems to achieve continuous improvement across your business remit. You’ll have a track-record of multi-disciplinary team management, data analysis, policy review, organisational change and financial management. The ability to build relationships and influence at a senior level is essential.

What We Offer:

If you’re as productive as you are ambitious and collaborative as you are enterprising, this is your chance to take real ownership of your work, and lead on the management of highly functional community based services across the organisation. This is a unique place where it all happens. And where it could all happen for you. As a progressive and innovative organisation, we welcome applications from candidates keen to work in an agile environment with flexible conditions.

If you are interesting in applying for this role please submit your covering letter and CV.
