Job Description

Are you dynamic and resourceful, and motivated by helping others to help themselves?

Support Through Court is an independent charity providing practical and emotional support to people facing the court process without lawyers. Most people are unfamiliar with - and may be frightened of - the courts, and many are in danger of losing their homes, children or livelihoods.

This highly regarded, energetic and friendly charity, is seeking a Service Manager to further develop and maintain its unique service in the Royal Courts of Justice and its satellite service in Wandsworth County Court.

Reporting to the Head of Service, you will be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers, facilitating day-to-day operations, building and sustaining relationships with key contacts and contributing to an ambitious fundraising target.

You will be an excellent communicator, as well as a practical, well organised and hardworking individual, preferably with experience in the voluntary sector or equivalent transferable skills. You will enjoy the challenges of a busy public-facing service, and will be particularly good at keeping calm in a fast-moving environment.

For an informal conversation about the role please contact Katrina or Lizzie at the RCJ office.

Applicants should apply with a CV and a covering letter explaining persuasively why we should offer you the post. It is important that your letter provides evidence of the criteria detailed in the person specification.

We expect to hold interviews for this role on 27th or 28th February 2020.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
