Job Description

Head Held High working with the Ben Kinsella Trust are looking for facilitators to assist in leading highly motivational and interactive workshops with young people aged between 16 and 21. "The Best You" is a 6 week programme which will be focusing on transforming negative behaviour and patterns, building self esteem and resilience, anti-knife crime prevention, creating winning C.V's from scratch.  The programme encourage young individuals to take responsibility for their lives and it leads to them to adopting new and positive behaviours everyday. 

The sessions will be based in London and will be targeted at individuals who are on the verge of exclusion/criminal activity or generally lacking in motivation, confidence and direction. Experience working with young people in this setting is essential.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Co-lead highly motivational workshops to groups of 6 to 8 individuals
  • Support and build a positive rapport with young people between the ages of 16 to 21 years
  • Effectively manage any challenging behaviour
  • Encourage and inspire young people to take positive action in their lives
  • Aim to support the individuals in achieving tangible life-changing goals by the end of the 6 week course.

The 6 week programme consists of 1 x 1.5 hour workshop a week for 6 weeks.

There will be multiple courses throughout the year and the potential of working on this specific project for 2 years as well as future work.

Pay: £70 per workshop

This work would suit someone who is passionate, confident, a great communicator and connects well with young individuals who maybe displaying challenging behaviour. You must also be flexible and able commit to delivering all 6 workshops over a 6 week period.The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, previously known as a CRB check.
