Are you an experienced finance professional and want to help end domestic abuse? Honorary treasurer / trustee needed for IDAS, Yorkshire's largest specialist charity that helped over 7000 victims and 4000 families affected by domestic abuse last year.

This is an exciting time to join the trustee board of our fast-expanding charity which now has an income of over £4 million a year. IDAS has grown because we have proven effective and innovative ways of working.  The immediate challenge for the IDAS trustee board is to ensure consolidation of our growth while continuing to develop our services and to diversify our income streams, so that we can provide the best support possible and extend our successful support to even more people. The voluntary Honorary Treasurer supports the Board with strategic financial advice for the charity. The 12 Trustees and additional committee members give overall strategic direction to the charity and ensures everything we do is consistent with our overall aims.

Our 130 staff, 50 volunteers and professional in-house finance team work to help anyone affected by domestic abuse – providing support in the home, the community, the courts, refuge accommodation; running projects in schools, universities and businesses.

We welcome applications from qualified accountants of any background who are committed to diversity, equality and the advocacy of equal rights for women and men, and can attend four Board meetings a year at varied times and places across Yorkshire, and related meetings.
