We are currently recruiting for:

Portsmouth Support & Recovery Service (PSR) – ref: VWAPMjun19
22.5 hours per week to include some evening and weekend work
Salary: £15,833 - £17,052 pro rata per annum
Positive Minds is an open, accessible and inclusive place in Portsmouth where help and support is available to people aged 18+ facing distress in their lives, including specific work with the Veteran community.
Operated by Solent Mind in partnership with Solent NHS, Portsmouth CCG and Veterans Charities, there are a range of activities, training, life coaching and other community support services offered both in 1 to 1 and group based sessions.
Wellbeing Advisors are the first point of contact for people looking to access services.
Advisors welcome people to the centre and talk with them to understand what they are experiencing. You will provide information and signposting and support people to access the services they need to help them recover and move forward.
You will also assist in recovery based group sessions, manage onward referral to other local services, and record and follow up the contact and conversations with people looking to access Positive Minds services.
The Veterans Wellbeing Advisors have a particular focus on supporting people who previously served in the armed forces, their families and carers. With your own lived experience of service in the forces, you will specialise in understanding Veteran specific support options and services, as well as being trained and available to support Veterans experiencing a mental health crisis.
