The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity making a daily difference to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis (CF), and those who care for them. We invest in cutting-edge research, promote great care and wellbeing, offer support for everyone affected by CF, and campaign hard on the issues that matter. We are a modern, forward looking charity, committed to a step change in the impact we make for the people we support.

We are now looking for an inspirational thinker and leader to be our new Director of Research. You will have the knowledge and experience to drive and deliver a strategy to bring about top class research leading to medical breakthroughs for CF.

You may have direct experience of working for a medical research charity, however, we are also keen to hear from people with a commercial, biopharmaceutical or government background.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a true innovator and this role is fundamental in driving forward a portfolio of new and existing, cutting edge research and partnerships, such as, our Innovation Hub with the University of Cambridge and AMR drug discovery.

Although we are based in London, our community is spread across the UK, and we are keen to ensure that we recruit the best possible individual for this role. With teleconferencing facilities enabling people with cystic fibrosis across the UK to contribute to the Trust’s work applicants are encouraged regardless of geographical location.
