The Connection at St. Martins (CSTM) is based in the heart of London, near Charing Cross Station and Trafalgar Square. CSTM has been helping homeless people since the First World War and is one of London’s largest homelessness charities.

Half of CSTM’s clients are not from the UK and the majority of these are European nationals. To respond to this need, the charity has been building a specialist migration team to respond to client need and to build capacity internally and externally to support homeless migrants. Following Brexit announcements and the start of the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS), the team will start a new project to provide dedicated support around the EUSS to homeless migrants.

As an EUSS Project Caseworkers, you will have responsibility for these areas:

  • Provide practical support to CSTM homeless migrants in relation to the EUSS;
  • Raise awareness of the EUSS and EU rights among clients and staff;
  • Work with external partner agencies to improve support, disseminate learning and avoid duplication;
  • Monitoring and evaluation of service delivery to demonstrate impact;
  • Manage volunteers.

This role requires someone with experience in supporting vulnerable people, including people with complex and multiple needs. The post holder must work jointly with other agencies and have experience of building strong, effective partnerships.
