Job Description
Charitable Multi Academy Trust supporting students aged 3 to 25 with special educational needs across 6 schools in Greater Manchester and Warrington seeks 2 new trustees respectively with HR and marketing/business development experience to join our board. The Trust is at an exciting stage of development having recently taken on a new school and specialist FE college and about to open a new school in Warrington. Trustees play a key role in shaping strategy, providing support and challenge to the executive team and enhancing the life chances of the children and young people in our care. Trustees are expected to attend 4 board meetings per year (typically 1 hour preparation plus 2 hour meetings), plus take part in committee business (3 x 2 hours per annum) and visits to schools. Board meetings are held in person in Manchester or Trafford, committees often meet virtually or hybrid. Friendly group with high aspirations and a strong sense of purpose.
