Job Description
Linkable is a charity that supports children, young people and adults with a learning disability or autistic people to create the life they want to live. We do this through an afterschool club, weekend playschemes and holiday activities.
We are looking for someone to drive our minibus and there is no particularly training needed for this role. However, we do pay for an hours training with an external company so you feel confident in driving one of our 3 minibuses. So long as you are over 21 and have been driving for 2 years, you can drive our vehicles. You need to be located within a few miles of our Woking base and hold a UK driving license.
Afterschool Club - we collect from 2 local schools that are 10-20 minutes away and bring them back to our centre in Woking. You need to be available from 2.45pm to.3.45pm approximately. You can do 1 day a week or up to 4 days a week.
We also need drivers on a Saturday for our weekend playschemes and in school holidays to drop our children at local venues such as farms or swimming and then bring them back. You can either wait at the venue or go away and return later once the session is finished.
There are always a number of staff on the minibuses with the children and one sits up front to help the driver with directions and complete paperwork.
You will know you are doing a really worthwhile role, supporting children with additional needs to enjoy the same experiences as any other child and at the same time giving their parents a break from the demands of caring for a short time.
We offer charity worker discounts, paid DBS and recognise our volunteers through training and celebrations. Come and join the LInkable team and do something satisfying with your spare time.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
