Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
Position: Volunteering Development Adviser
Location: London
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £32,326 per annum (actual)

About the role:
Our volunteers help us to do more for people affected by dementia and they account for the majority of our workforce. We are looking for a talented individual to help shape the future of our volunteer offer.
Can you engage, inspire and empower others in pursuit of ambitious organisational goals? And do you have the ability to develop a collaborative and creative environment that harnesses the time and talents of people right across the country?
Then you could fit in perfectly as our Volunteering Development Adviser.
About you:
Educated to degree level or equivalent you will have significant experience of developing volunteering within a geographically dispersed organisation. A strong track record of providing volunteering advice, particularly relating to fundraising and campaigning, is essential. You must also know how to work collaboratively and in partnership with others to deliver shared objectives and ambitious business plans.
Your excellent communication skills will certainly be supported by a good understanding of the voluntary sector and service user involvement. Add to that the credibility, passion and resilience to achieve results in a rapidly developing environment, and you will quickly become an indispensable member of our team.
