TRUSTEES

For 30 years, Suffolk Family Carers has provided information, advice and guidance to family carers of all ages across Suffolk to help them get the support they need to live fuller lives. We work to minimise the hardships and challenges that family carers face, raise awareness of family carers and ensure their voices are heard throughout Suffolk. The commitment of our trustee board has been essential in helping us to meet those challenges.

To help Suffolk Family Carers to achieve our ambitious goals, we are looking to expand our board, bringing in new ideas, skills and experience. As a trustee you would share responsibility for the overall governance and strategic direction of Suffolk Family Carers and for ensuring the sound legal, financial and people management of the organisation.

We are looking for potential trustees with a good understanding of family carers’ issues (personal or professional) and an interest in the work we do. We are also seeking interest from people with a range of business and professional skills to enable good governance of the organisation, in particular human resources and financial management. We work with strategic partners therefore experience within local health, social care or voluntary sector organisations would be welcomed.

This is a voluntary role (expenses paid).
