Job Description

Shaftesbury Young People is one of the UK's oldest established children's charity. We are an education and social mobility charity, that helps, guides and assists the most vulnerable, disadvantaged and excluded children young people.  The charity is entering an exciting time in its history, as it seeks to remodel its services to the modern challenges that all young people face. 
 
How would you like to make a direct contribution at this exciting time, by joining our Trustee Board?  We are actively seeking 2 or 3 new Trustees to assist us in moving the charity forward, and help more young people who need our services, in many more UK locations.  We will be particularly interested in hearing from individuals with experience in one of:  legal, educational, marketing or the private commercial sector.  We would also like to hear from young people who have left the looked after care service and feel they have something to offer.
