Job Description

The Marr-Munning Trust is a grantmaking charity based in Ealing, West London that exists to reduce poverty and its impact in some of the poorest places in the developing world.

We make grants totalling £360,000 a year to charities/NGOs - currently focussing our support on the education of children and training in livelihoods skills for adults.

We now wish to recruit two new members to join our governing body, the Board of Trustees.

We need people who can help us to achieve our mission and ensure the organisation is effectively managed.  You must be able to make a commitment to the Trust and devote the necessary time to the role - as well as have strategic vision, independent judgement, an ability to think creatively and a willingness to speak your mind.  Ideally, the new trustees will also have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • International Development;
  • Grantmaking.

We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse board of trustees and we welcome appropriately qualified applications from all sections of the community.

You will be expected to contribute roughly one day per month to the role.  We will provide an induction into our work and you will be entitled to reimbursement of expenses associated with the role.
