Job Description
Do you have experience of working in health and/or social care?
Do you want to make a difference to the lives of older people?
We are looking for someone who can think strategically and complement the existing Board of Trustees. You would be working with other trustees who have different skills, knowledge and experience but who are all committed to trying to help the older people of Wandsworth have fulfilled lives, as free from anxiety as possible. It's an interesting role in which you can help formulate the ideas about how we as an organisation can best address the challenges and opportunities that exist in a vital, yet increasingly complex, field in which older people's needs and aspirations are both varied and often changing. The help we give ranges from many aspects of advice through to practical help in the home, all with the aim of improving the wellbeing of Wandsworth’s older people and helping them to live independently at home for as long as they wish to.
The main commitment as a trustee would be to participate in Board meetings which are bi-monthly in the late afternoon and last 2-3 hrs. We are looking for people with commitment and enthusiasm and no experience of being a trustee is necessary. Please see the role description for further detailed information about what the trustee role entails.
If you have experience and skills in legal, fundraising and HR then we would also like to hear from you.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
