Trustee
linkage community trust

Job Description

Linkage Community Trust is seeking to recruit to its Board of Trustees a number of high calibre individuals who will enhance its strategic direction and shape its future.

We are a Lincolnshire-based charity that leads the field in the provision of best practice further education, care and employment services for young adults with complex learning difficulties and other disabilities. We have an unequivocal commitment to the welfare and development of our clients and our vision is to contribute to a society in which people with disabilities can realise their full potential, living as independently as their abilities and disabilities allow.  Our organisation supports up to 400 clients and we currently have a staff of c.600 with an annual turnover of c. £12m.

Our Board of Trustees meets every two months to provide overall policy guidance and to monitor the performance of the staff. The Board also operates a number of sub-committees that meet on a quarterly basis and, in addition, trustees are sometimes asked to attend a number of show-case, developmental events throughout the year. Although unpaid, reimbursement is possible for reasonable ‘out of pocket’ expenses; the main reward is found in contributing to an organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of people with disabilities. If you have the drive, time and passion to commit to the growth of this high profile organisation, we would be delighted to hear from you. We welcome applications from individuals with varied life experiences and from a variety of backgrounds. An understanding of governance is preferable, although further training and development is provided by the Trust.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
