Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a new Treasurer

Who, along with other members of the Trustee Board, will provide strategic leadership to the charity to ensure that it is sustainably funded; operates legally and is well governed in order to provide an effective service and achieve its mission.

All trustees must be able to commit to attending around 6 Board meetings per year plus approximately 4 additional hours per month for other meetings or committees.

Successful applicants will be able to think strategically and creatively when formulating policy and demonstrate a commitment to the charity’s aims and values including those of challenging discrimination and promoting equality.

In addition, the treasurer requires financial management qualifications or experience with, ideally, some experience of charity finance, fundraising and pension schemes.

For people wishing to enhance their CV, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience at board level in strategic leadership and management. For those that are retired, it provides a wonderful way to use your extensive skills and experience to make a real difference in your community.
