Project Officer
the vegetarian society

Job Description

Full Time:  35 hours per week  12 month fixed term contract with possibility of extension.

Salary: £20,661 - £24,964  NJC scales 22-28

Based in Altrincham, Cheshire, but with some travel around the UK

Would you like to work within a creative, dynamic, committed (and friendly) Campaigns and Engagement Team for the UK’s leading vegetarian charity?

Eating out with appropriate vegetarian meals and a variety of choices is still an issue, whether this is at a chain restaurant, pub, or coffee shop.

It’s an even bigger issue if you are eating whilst in a hospital, school or other statutory catering provision.
Based on extensive YouGov research , detailed work with members, supporters and the wider vegetarian community, this post is the beginning of an exciting seven year commitment by the Vegetarian Society to change this situation, to create the environment where offering great vegetarian choices is the norm not the exception.

We are looking for an experienced Project Officer to join our Campaigns and Engagement Team to research and develop this exciting new project.

We are looking for someone with excellent project management skills and experience of liaising with both the commercial and statutory sectors would be desirable.

You would be a key member of this project, with the opportunity to shape and design the project from the very beginning. Are you up to the task?

As with all our campaign and engagement roles it is vital that you are committed to the Vegetarian Society’s visions and values.

The Vegetarian Society aims to be a positive employer. We offer flexible working and a stakeholder pension. Our headquarters is located in a converted mansion house surrounded by private gardens, five minutes from the M56.

For further information on this position please see the job and person specification.

The deadline for applications for this post is Monday 5th February 2018.

You must be available for interview on Monday 12th February 2018.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
