Job Description
Reporting to the Global Director of Communications, the Global Marketing Officer will be responsible for supporting a wide range of communications programmes and initiatives. S/he will be a member of the Communications Department and will collaborate with Union offices to support their communication activities.
Main Responsibilities:
Conference and event marketing
· Developing a comprehensive plan and then implementing the production of all communication materials for The Union World Conference - including promotional flyers and brochures, digital assets, conference bags, conference environmental branding including all signage.
· Supporting the promotion plan for the conference, including development of the conference email marketing materials.
· On-site management of The Union brand and materials at The Union World Conference for Lung Health.
· Content production, supporting web and social media content, for The Union at events and conferences.
· Providing marketing materials and support for other Union events when appropriate.
· Provide marketing support for the Union’s Centennial dinner.
Union Membership Marketing
· Working closely with the Head of Membership, develop a communication’s strategy to grow Union membership and build loyalty and engagement from current members.
· Support renewals process with key messaging and marketing materials for renewal process.
· Build web presence for Union Membership
· Produce Membership marketing materials for events and recruitment campaigns.
· Manage Membership recruitment advertising including Google ads.
· Attend membership meetings to offer marketing support.
· Support Regional Membership conferences with promotion and coverage of the events when they take place.
· Oversee the implementation and future development of The Union awards.
Content Production.
· Write, edit and proof read communication materials including, leaflets, flyers, booklets, posters, web content, social media posts and blogs
· Alongside other members of the Communications Team, produce content for marketing campaigns, including management of designers and the print and production process
· Contribute to, and when required manage, the development and implementation of e-marketing and newsletters
· Contribute to the Communications Team editorial calendar
Evaluation
· Establish clear KPIs as part of strategies, and evaluate progress against them
Others
· Undertake any other duties, when required
Qualifications:
· Min. degree in communications, marketing or related field.
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing communications or related field
· Excellent communication skills
· Fluent in English, proficiency in French and Spanish an advantage
· Excellent writing, editing and copywriting skills
· Proven experience working with designers.
· Proven skills in developing and running marketing campaigns and projects
· Proven experience of managing print and digital content production
· Previous experience in advertising an advantage
· Experience with marketing software an advantage
· Knowledge of public health desirable
· Ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a global team
· Available to travel and work with countries in different time zones
