Job Description

The Hope Programme is looking for a service delivery manager to join our committed  team of staff, counsellors and volunteers.  You will make sure that Hope provides high quality services for victims of rape and sexual violence to help them to cope and recover from the impact of the crimes.   You will manage and support our dedicated team of sessional counsellors and work with the Chief Executive to develop our coaching service and identify other opportunities for us to better meet the needs of our clients.

You will have experience in an organisation supporting clients with complex and multiple needs. You will  need to be a skilled people manager, with practical experience of service or project planning and management. In return, you will gain the satisfaction of knowing that your work is making a positive difference to traumatised people and enabling them to take back control of their lives.

About The Hope Programme

Hope works across Bedfordshire, providing services for victims of rape and sexual violence to enable them to cope and recover from the impact and aftermath of the abuse. We work with people over 10 years of age and their non-offending family members, carers and partners. Clients may be recent and/or historic victims and suffer from the  long lasting trauma of childhood sexual abuse and/or exploitation.

Set up in 1987, Hope has grown substantially over the last 5 years, achieving a huge amount as an organisation -- our service has become widely respected as successful in helping traumatised clients; we have developed strong networks with other agencies; and we have achieved central/local government and charitable funding. We provide:

  • Helpline for access to services
  • Community based support
  • 1:1, face to face counselling and life coaching
  • Pre-trial therapy compliant with CPS guidelines
  • Mentoring
  • Referrals and signposting to other services
  • Training for professionals and communities
  • Prevention advice to reduce victimisation

In 2017, Hope provided emotional support, information and counselling to more than 250 victims of rape and sexual violence. Our work really makes a difference to our clients – one commented that 'life has more meaning' for her, another said that 'I feel I have been given the chance to live again', and another that 'to be without fear is a miracle to me!'

We look forward to receiving your application by 5pm on Friday 22 June 2018 with interviews planned for the week commencing 25 June 2018
