Recovery Lead
the connection at st. martin-in-the-fields

Job Description

The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields (CSTM) provides services which help 4000 homeless people each year in London avoid, move away from and stay off the streets. The charity has an annual turnover of £4.2m, a staff team of 80 and 50 regular volunteers.

We have recently created a new service model, strategy and refreshed values, to incorporate client co-production and a strengths based approach to working with people who have multiple and complex needs. As a result, we are now recruiting new managers at a senior level to take forward service change, innovation and development.

The charity is recruiting for a Recovery Lead who will oversee our Housing and Resettlement Service, our work with homeless migrants, our group work programme, drug and alcohol and mental health treatment responses. The post holder will:

  • Ensure excellent service delivery and support opportunities for growth
  • Ensure efficiency, focus and a highly effective team
  • Provide financial management and secure resources
  • Monitor, evaluate and demonstrate the impact of our work
  • Manage external relationships to support growth and build the charity’s reputation
  • Contribute to strategic and values based leadership

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in service delivery with people who have complex needs, in particular supported housing, treatment and recovery for people with mental health and drug and alcohol issues. Alongside ensuring high quality service delivery, they must have experience of developing new approaches and working with fundraising specialists to secure resources.

The Recovery Lead will be a well organised and focused manager who uses coaching techniques to develop their team. Finally, they must be a positive role model with the personal credibility to build confidence in the charity both internally and externally.
