Job Description

The Centre for Youth Impact is committed to working collaboratively to progress thinking and practice in impact measurement and quality improvement in youth work and provision for young people. Our vision is for all young people to have access to high quality programmes and services that improve their life chances.

The Centre for Youth Impact was established as a partnership initiative in 2014 and became an independent charity in 2018. We are funded by a range of supporters, including central government, the National Lottery Community Fund, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. The Centre’s ten-strong team works nationally from its offices in East London, including supporting our regional network leads across England. Last year, we began to expand our work into Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We need a Team Assistant to join the team to provide critical administrative and logistical support across all of our projects. The post will contribute both capacity and skills to the Centre’s dynamic team – particularly offering support around arranging regular external training and events. The postholder will also work with the Operations Manager on team coordination, supporting on the Centre’s comms processes and day-to-day administrative tasks as they arise.

We’re looking for an organised and confident administrator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail. Our ideal candidate would be happy working autonomously and have experience of supporting a busy and fast-paced team managing multiple different work streams. We are looking for someone who will anticipate need and suggest solutions to logistical challenges. You’ll need to be helpful and enthusiastic in your approach to work, flexible and people oriented.

Please see the attached job description for the person specification and further details on how to apply. This can also be found on our webiste.

The deadline for receipt of your application is 12:00pm on Monday 9 December 2019. Applications received after this time will not be considered.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 12 December 2019 at our offices in Hackney, E8.
