Job Description

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues.

Children’s mental health has never been more important than it is now. Schools are in the front line of promoting wellbeing and mental health. The trouble is that many schools don’t know where to turn to for help. Until now.

The Royal Foundation is working with the leading children’s mental health charities The Anna Freud Centre, Place2Be and Young Minds with expert support from the National Association of Head Teachers and the Centre for Mental Health to produce a website for primary schools, Mentally Healthy Schools. It’s packed full of school resources on child mental health all of which have been quality assured and are evidence based.

We are looking for a talented professional to promote our work to schools and to support the project as it evaluates its work. You’ll work alongside an experienced and talented team who will guide you throughout. You will know how to develop compelling social media assets to drive schools to our site. You will also have a good analytical brain and monitor and report on your activity and you will develop a clear understanding about what content works for schools. You will understand the needs of good service – responding to requests from schools, and the importance of GDPR.

You will have the following in spades: commitment, organisation, creativity, drive, planning skills and analytic skills action. You will want to bring them to bear on improving the mental health of children and young people. We’re not asking for much. Just for you to help us to change the world.

The post-holder will be based at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, 12 Maresfield Gardens, London NW3 5SU and 1st Floor, Jordan House, 47 Brunswick Place, London N1 6EB. From Spring 2019, this post will be based at 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.

The Centre values diversity and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.
