Job Description

The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families supports distressed children and their families through innovative therapeutic practice and research, training and promoting awareness of mental health issues.

In early 2019 the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families will be moving to its new £39m National Centre for Excellence. This move represents a major change for us and we will be seeking to generate the public recognition that our world-class research, innovative therapeutic practice and training deserves.

We have made great progress in communicating to professionals. Now we want to focus getting our message out to young people, through our online Youth Wellbeing Directory and other digital resources.

You will have the creativity to develop the content and design of the directory, the imagination and business nous to integrate it with other resources we provide for young people and those who work with them. You will be comfortable using a large range of social media platforms and translating the work we do to match each medium. You will be highly organised and flexible, able to turn your hand to simplifying complex issues without compromising the integrity of our work. You will get things done because you know that providing mental health support for young people is probably the most important thing that young people need right now.

If you are successful, you will be based at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, at 12 Maresfield Gardens, London NW3 5SU and 1st Floor, Jordan House, 47 Brunswick Place, London N1 6EB before moving into our new National Centre for Excellence in Kings Cross.

The Centre values diversity and aims to have a workforce that reflects this. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.
