Senior Practitioner
the albert kennedy trust

Job Description

The Albert Kennedy Trust is looking for a full-time Senior Practitioner to lead our London Services team in delivering high-quality advice and guidance, mentoring and supported lodgings services to LGBT young homeless people. You will be responsible for receiving referrals from young people and agencies, assessing client needs and making appropriate onward referrals. The post will involve some unsociable hours, as well as occasional weekend working.

You’ll need experience of working in frontline advice and guidance services preferably with young LGBT people. Experience of management of staff is preferred. Good problem-solving and liaison skills are needed to help find multi-agency solutions to complex issues. You’ll also need a commitment to equality and inclusion, and knowledge of the issues that young LGBT people face.

We particularly welcome applications from those who identify as BMAE, bisexual, transgender and/or have a disability, as we are currently underrepresented in these areas.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
