Job Description

Support For Us is a new start-up charity that mental health instructor and campaigner Sam Barakat is starting. The aim of the charity is to provide training around young people's mental health across the UK. 

We are currently recruiting trustees to help with the start up and running of the charity. 

The first trustees meeting will be held in either London or Birmingham, depending on the convenience of the successful applicants. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered.  Subsequent trustees meetings will be held over online video chat. 

We are looking for trustees from across the UK, with a variety of experiences including: 

• Legal
• Financial/accounting
• Safeguarding laws
• Experience in the mental health field
• Lived experience of mental illness, especially as a young person
• Familiarity of the charity sector
• Previous experience as a trustee
• Publicity
