Student Voice and Democracy Co-ordinator
university of westminster students' union

Job Description

As one of the team leading on the delivery of an exciting new strategy you will be responsible for supporting all our activities that channel the voice of the students.

Our vision is that every one of our members will see a Students’ Union that is devoted to ensuring they achieve their educational aims, that is looking after their welfare and is positively impacting on their overall university experience. Your role will be pivotal to supporting our elected officers and those who are involved in student representation (e.g. our course representatives).

This is still a relatively new role – so plenty of scope to grow. You will be interested in working in democratic environments and want to make your mark. You will be organised, a good communicator and comfortable at dealing with many different stakeholders in a diverse organisation.

This is a wide and varied role which will see you:

  • Supporting the recruitment and training of course reps
  • Organising and facilitating student forums
  • Supporting the work of the elected officers

If you are up for the challenge then we would like to talk to you.
