Job Description

Do you want to work for an established and respected local Mental Health Charity?

Are you looking for experience in an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies IAPT Service?

Solent Mind is the largest third sector provider of mental health services in the Hampshire region offering a range of high quality services to improve people’s mental wellbeing and to promote choice and rights to everyone who needs our support.

We run the italk service in partnership with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust which is one of the largest Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services in the country providing Step 2 and Step 3 therapies.

We are currently recruiting for a Team Co-Ordinator, italk–ref:  COORDdec17

Salary: £18,365 - £19,777 per annum (pro rata for part time hours), Full Time: 37 hours per week – Job share considered

We are looking for a Co-Ordinator to join our busy Telephone & Referral Centre (TARC) at italk.

The TARC Co-Ordinator will be a key supervisory member of the TARC team, whose main responsibility is to ensure the Patient Liaison Administrators (PLA’s) adhere to and manage the italk Referral System to the best of their ability. You will be expected to be flexible in your workload, provide direct line management and supervision to the PLAs (and volunteers when required) to maintain an effective and motivated team, as well as providing support to the TARC Manager.

The role will also incorporate speaking to patients with mild-moderate mental health problems to ensure they are booked appointments and the busy main phone is covered and monitored to a high standard. This may mean a variation in workload throughout the week between supervisory responsibilities and covering the PLA or Volunteer Co-Ordinator responsibilities when required.

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people. Experience of managing or co-ordinating projects/staff is essential.

In return, we offer a vibrant and friendly working environment with excellent benefits, including 25 days holidays plus a contributory pension scheme.
