Solent Mind run the italk service in partnership with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust which is one of the largest Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services in the country.

Step 2 IAPT ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGICAL WELLBEING PRACTITIONER

Hours: 37 Per Week

Salary Range: £18,549 - £19,975 (NB: Salary ranges are currently under review)

Location: EASTLEIGH, BASINGSTOKE OR GOSPORT   (Please specify preference within application)

In this role you will support the Step 2 Clinical Team at italk, which presents an ideal opportunity for psychology graduates or mental health workers to work in an IAPT service.

Primarily the post holders will deliver treatments to patients through groups and cCBT, so excellent presentation skills, IT skills and a good level of written and spoken English are essential. You will also provide administrative support to the clinical team, which will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of the IAPT model and develop your clinical skills and knowledge.

Initially the role will be based at our Contact Centre/West locality hub in Eastleigh and then will be based in one of our locality hubs in Eastleigh, Basingstoke or Gosport. It is an expectation that Practitioners will also facilitate weekly group treatments and work a minimum of 2 evenings per week.

You will need to be highly motivated and resilient to cope with the demands of working in this large, high volume service. Successful candidates will also need to have strong communication skills, professional telephone manner and excellent organisational skills.
