Job Description

We are looking for a brilliant Social Enterprise Manager, to run Emmaus Bristol’s existing shops and services and to develop more.  You must have experience in line management and business management with the talent and drive to make a real difference to Emmaus Bristol’s income and to provide more opportunities for people who have been homeless. 

We believe that people who are homeless and socially excluded have something to offer.  We encourage people to use their skills to change themselves – and change the world.

The Emmaus Community in Bristol opened in 2003 and now operates a residential Community of 23 former homeless men and women (“companions”) and three furniture re-use shops and associated enterprises – PAT testing, house clearances and upholstery.  Companions volunteer in the social enterprises and are supported in whatever way they need to address the issues that have brought them to Emmaus Bristol.

As well as being ambitious and entrepreneurial you will need to be exceptionally good with people.
