Job Description

The Board of Siobhan Davies Dance are seeking a number of new trustees to support the organisation to achieve its ambitions as it enters an exciting new period in its development.

Led by Chair, Emma Gladstone, the Board offer governance and strategic leadership to the organisation. This is achieved through meetings, conversations with staff and other Board members lending your particular knowledge to the mix, and through attending events or away days to work on larger strategic areas of work like business planning.

SDD is looking for specific skills in one of the following areas, but welcomes interest from those in other fields:

•  A legal professional – an individual with knowledge of legal issues to lend guidance in assessing liabilities or risk, and to signpost legal needs as they arise
•  A PR professional – an individual engaged with the arts who can help raise SDD’s profiles, reach new stakeholders for the organisation and its artists, and inform brand development
• A digital/technology/innovation specialist – to support the continued digital growth and innovation within the organisation and its programme
• A fundraising expert – a well-connected individual, able to support the fundraising activities of the senior team and encourage others’ support or a fundraising professional, from any background
