Job Description

Samaritans is looking for a Caller Support Coordinator to join the Caller Support team on a fixed term contract. The successful person will work with both staff and volunteers to help ensure the support offered to callers is of the highest standard possible.

The role also deals with the misuse of the service, having experience of working in a frontline role that has brought you into contact with vulnerable callers, you will be used to working within service boundaries and have skills to handle contacts from callers who are distressed or angry. 

This is a busy role and although you will be part of a team, the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload is essential. Experience working with large volumes of data with attention to detail is a must, although training will be provided on internal software.
You will need to be able to work flexibly in order to support volunteers, travelling to attend occasional meetings and potentially working occasional evenings/weekends.
