Job Description

Richmond Borough Mind (RBMind) is a successful and forward-thinking charity helping improve the lives of thousands of people with mental health problems, and their carers. Services include Psychotherapy and Counselling, the Richmond Wellbeing Service (Step 2), recovery groups and activities, carers support, youth wellbeing sessions and information and training.

As a key member of the senior management team you will work closely with the Chief Executive and Treasurer and manage the finance function. Responsibilities include advising the Chief Executive and Senior Managers, preparing budgets, preparing management accounts and forecasts with the relevant financial analysis, and liaising with the auditors to prepare statutory accounts and annual audits. The role is supported by a Finance and Governance Officer, and day to day responsibilities include payroll, supplier expenses using SAGE, posting of invoices to relevant ledgers, bank reconciliations, petty cash, and journal preparation.

RBMind is active in commercial bids to provide services locally, in addition to raising funds through trusts and foundations and community fundraising. You will develop a keen understanding of these funding streams across all projects, supporting the processes with your strong budget preparation skills.

The successful candidate will have good commercial knowledge, demonstrable experience in a finance capacity, with well-developed IT skills and experience of SageLine50 (or equivalent). The successful candidate must also be able to work to deadlines, have effective customer service and strong written and communication skills.
